Brief Job Description
The Power Platform Developer support the digital projects and initiatives of Vertiv Global Business Services. Your primary role involves designing, developing, and implementing Robotic Process Automation and other automation solutions to optimize business processes. You collaborate with process experts and stakeholders to document technical requirements and review solution designs. You also lead continuous improvement projects to support the maturation of the automation program.
Job Responsibilities
- Consultation: You engage with project and business teams to review and approve automation solution designs. You drive engagement with the Architecture Review Board and Global Change Advisory Board to ensure compliance with Vertiv IT requirements. You collect and document technical requirements from stakeholders and business process experts. You create summaries and presentations to communicate results and recommendations.
- Solution Delivery and Development: You develop, test, and deploy automation solutions in the production environment using Power Automate, Python, SQL, and VBA. You work with project teams to secure access to relevant systems, test data, and development environments. You provide level three production support to ensure the proper operation of automation solutions. You generate technical documentation including Solution Design Documents and Process Definition Documents for each project.
- Teaching, Learning, Research and Development: You provide coaching and mentoring to junior developers and citizen developers in the automation guild. You lead continuous improvement projects to mature the team standards, tools, and best practices. You research and test new technologies to drive the transition toward autonomous operations and next generation pilots.
Qualifications
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying Power Platform solutions
- At least 3 years of experience in leading software projects throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
- Demonstrate proficiency with automation technologies and scripting languages including Python, SQL, and VBA
