Brief Job Description
The Content and Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for supporting the digital marketing initiatives at Vertiv by producing digital assets required for outbound marketing efforts and by developing the frameworks used to produce these assets. The role is responsible for supporting marketing automation programs by developing responsive emails, creating complex landing pages, creating and modifying pages on the corporate website, developing lead generation and conversion forms, and executing quality assurance activities. Also, the role supports thought leadership efforts with the development of interactive experiences for the website and for paid and organic placements. The Lead Specialist, Web Design will support marketing programs and produce effective user experiences using a mix of creative skills, technical knowledge, and commercial awareness.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as technical expert for the following platforms such as Eloqua (forms, global email templates, and custom landing pages). Episerver (form integration and customization, complex campaign landing pages that require custom CSS/styling).
- Use design thinking and user experience knowledge to participate in high level discussions regarding marketing programs.
- Work with the marketing team and other stakeholders in the business to ideate and launch interactive experiences that convey the value of the company’s products and solutions to the market.
- Initiates process improvement initiatives to further enhance the team’s competency and performance.
- As a practical individual contributor, ensure the production of high-quality work in web design. Coordinate with the team to maintain standards and address any web design-related questions from internal clients.
- Serve as the first escalation point for issues pertaining to brand consistency, technical issues, and software/publishing questions.
- Craft effective responsive user experiences across multiple platforms. Advocate for the user throughout the process of proposing, wireframing, and implementing UX improvements. Can also execute custom JavaScript code for use in marketing and advertising landing pages.
Job Qualifications
- Must have a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in web design, interaction design or a related discipline in a marketing environment, higher degrees and specializations are desirable. Five or more years of work experience are also required.
- Web design skills and working knowledge of UI/UX.
- Good understanding of quality control for visual communication.
- Good working knowledge of: - HTML5 and CSS3, including the Bootstrap front-end framework.
- HTML email coding, including responsive design for email clients and testing procedures.
- Responsive design best practices.
- JavaScript.
- Mid to advanced level with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong experience with web content management systems, preferably Episerver (Optimizely).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English language.
- Can organize multiple tasks and possesses strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
- Close attention to detail.
- Ability to perform most day-to-day duties without supervision.
- Strong team effort mentality.
- Ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly, capable of presenting visual projects to the leadership team. Can conduct need finding sessions to guide the organization regarding graphic design and visual communication needs.

- Experience with Google Tag Manager, as well as basic concepts of Search Engine Optimization are desirable.
