Position Summary
The Senior designer will bring to life product/solution stories, customer testimonials and thought leadership topics with video storytelling and animation. The senior designer will contribute to the positioning of products and services into the market by developing videos that engage the audience and convey complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner.
The senior designer will work closely with engineers, product managers, marketers, and other subject matter experts to create video and animation content. The associate in this role will have the capability of making recommendations based on artistic sense and communication skills, helping establish the storyline and purpose of the video.
The role will create videos for product launches, case studies and thought leadership. The role will be primarily in pre- and post-production, combining video footage, images, audio, 3D renders/animations and other inputs into a final content. Create concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video and multimedia projects. Create and/or ingest detailed illustrations to explain concepts difficult to convey by other means, including for animation purposes. Store source files and finished collateral in the designated repository for publishing and archiving, ensuring other marketers can leverage the efforts.
Track projects and tasks using the Vertiv marketing collaboration system (Wrike); provide timely updates to stakeholders and management. Complete projects on schedule to support sales and marketing efforts.
Requirements (Education And Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with experience in Multimedia/ Graphical Design or related discipline in a marketing environment.
- Minimum 7 Years of work Experience Graphic or Multimedia Design domain.
- 5+ years of experience executing video editing and motion graphics.
- Understanding of foundation art fundamentals, including color theory, composition, rhythm, and balance.
- Portfolio of work must include, Video editing reel, preferably with motion graphics expertise & Animation examples.
- Ability to perform most duties without constant supervision and capable of resolving issues with independence and creative thinking.
- Expert understanding of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, intermediate capabilities with Adobe Audition and Adobe Photoshop
- Basic understanding of Cinema4D and GPU render engines is preferred
- Ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly, capable of presenting visual projects to the leadership team.
- Can organize multiple tasks and possesses strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience working in a Cross functional team with artistic and technical resources.
- Ability to self-manage multiple development projects and deadlines, good asset management practices
