Team Manager Automation

Manage and lead a team of engineers responsible for executing Automation projects, as well as Automation Retrofit. Ensure the delivery of all required engineering services within the defined schedule and quality standards, while maintaining compliance with Bühler directives and EHS regulations.

Oversee all technical interfaces with the customer, including specifications for subcontracted supplies. Act as the primary point of contact for the Project Director and Project Manager in matters related to automation specialization.

• Build and develop a team, establishing foundational processes and culture based on Bühler guidelines and values
• Responsible for training and development of the team ensuring growth and alignment with the organizations defined strategic direction
• Lead the project team on automation projects, overseeing all technical aspects related to automation
• Project management of challenging automation projects – particularly during the teams ramp-up phase.
• Manage the assigned project scope from a technical perspective to achieve defined goals and objectives
• Conduct project reviews to ensure project quality or to address any deviations at an early stage
• Actively participate in project meetings with cross - functional team members, suppliers, and/or customers
• Support Project Manager to ensure a proper project execution according the Bühler Project Management process and provide technical support in case of Claims and Deviations
• Responsible for the technical design of complex plants, approves deliverables to ensure that design will meet the customers expectations
• Supervise and support the Team Members in all technical belongings, act as mentor for Engineers
  
  

These are the skills youll need

• Bachelors degree in Automation / Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• At least 10 years relevant experience
• Minimum 5 years working experience as Lead Project Engineer in industrial automation and electrical installation / commissioning on customer site
• Experience in Siemens programming software (Step7, Tia Portal) for PLC S7 300/400/1500, HMI touchscreen, SCADA system programming and commissioning at customer manufacturing site
• Knowledge of .Net software programming and SQL Server Database is a plus
• Strong planning, organizing and priority setting skills, with a proven ability to manage teams
• Fluent verbal & written in English is a must
