What Youll Do

As a Tax Manager within this prominent insurance/HMO organisation based in Makati, you will be entrusted with overseeing all facets of taxation—from preparing complex filings for various taxes to managing high-stakes audits with regulatory bodies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with finance professionals across departments as you review computations for accuracy, provide actionable advice on new business initiatives or contracts from a tax perspective, and proactively monitor legislative changes affecting the industry. You will also play an instrumental role in identifying process improvements that enhance compliance while supporting financial reporting cycles.   • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of all national and local tax obligations including VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, documentary stamp tax (DST), and other regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance/HMO sector.
  • Manage ongoing compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations as well as tax requirements unique to the insurance/HMO industry.
  • Lead all aspects of tax audits, assessments, and correspondence with regulatory authorities such as the BIR and Local Government Units (LGUs), ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Review detailed tax computations, returns, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to guarantee accuracy and adherence to statutory standards.
  • Provide comprehensive tax advisory support to finance teams and business units regarding transactions, contracts, new initiatives, or changes in business operations.
  • Identify potential areas of tax risk within the organisation’s processes and recommend improvements or controls to strengthen overall compliance.
