Job Overview

The purpose of this role is to partner closely with the Pallet Controller within the companys wholesale to centralise, record, and reconcile all pallet movements.

This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of pallet data, and in identifying and resolving any variances between different systems in a timely manner.

Duties And Responsibilities

Daily Data Capture

  • Perform daily data entry by collecting picking slips from all onshore stations.
  • Review recorded information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow up promptly on any missing or unclear details.
  • Ensure pallets used are correctly recorded against relevant sales orders.

Pallet Receipting

  • Accurately enter all pallets received into 2IC on the same day of receipt.
  • Validate entries against purchase order data in PRONTO and grower delivery documentation.

Reconciliation Activities

  • Reconcile all 2IC entries against the FUS “Pallet Transfers” statement.
  • Cross-check pallet quantities against PRONTO records and supplier delivery dockets.
  • Confirm quantities with the onshore team to ensure alignment with physically received stock.

CHEP Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Extract and review the weekly CHEP bill.
  • Reconcile CHEP data against the company’s internal database.
  • Prepare and maintain a variance summary.

Variance Management

  • Investigate all identified variances thoroughly.
  • Resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.

Issue Escalation

  • Escalate unresolved issues or risks promptly to the Pallet Controller.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in reconciliation or a similar finance/accounting role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables.
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across teams.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to identify issues and escalate queries in a timely manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience with pallets, inventory, or stock management is highly regarded.
