The Functional Team Lead is a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of people leadership and hands-on delivery. You will lead and develop a growing team of Solution Consultants in our Partner Ready Product Acceleration program, while continuing to contribute directly to customer implementations. As the team grows, the balance will shift progressively towards leadership, but right now, both dimensions matter equally. This role is central to Basware’s “Customer First, Partner Enabled” strategy and requires someone who leads by example, with a proactive mindset for leveraging AI to drive efficiency across both delivery and team operations.
Team Leadership
Build and Develop the Team: Act as solid line manager for a team of Solution Consultants, taking responsibility for the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, performance and development discussions, and retention.
Guide Daily Work and Drive Results: Plan and assign delivery activities across the team, hold regular check-ins to review progress and give feedback, and ensure clarity and focus in a fast-paced program environment.
Coach and Grow People: Support team members’ personal development and wellbeing, recognise and celebrate success, and foster a high-performing culture of empowerment, trust, and accountability.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives that improve delivery quality and team efficiency, including identifying and introducing AI tools and practices that streamline operations across the program.
Hands-On Delivery
Deliver Customer Transformations: Contribute directly to customer implementations alongside your team, executing delivery phases from analysis and design through build, testing, go-live, and hypercare.
Consult and Challenge: Work directly with global enterprise customers to design target solutions, challenge outdated setups, and guide them through significant change with confidence and expertise.
Build Strong Customer Relationships: Establish trust with key stakeholders, communicate clearly on risks and progress, and support the team in delivering successful go-lives and post-go-live hypercare.
