As the Technical Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring business and customer outcomes are achieved. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the technical aspects of products, projects and initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions, while providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong communicator and possesses a deep understanding of technologies and best practices.

What The Day Will Look Like

  • Participate in projects as a SME for core client and policy management platforms across the APAC region.
  • Participate in projects as a SME for process automation and then supply to building automation solutions using appropriate tools.
  • Liaise with business collaborators, developers, and other technical teams to gather, analyse, and document end-user requirements.
  • Involvement in developing functional specifications that design and document the desired outcome of system modifications.
  • Analysis on business initiatives and whether the requirements fit core platforms. Including liaising with regional architects when applicable.
  • Keep Business owners, Technology, Product Managers and key collaborators aware of potential areas for product enhancement.
  • Prepare and review testing documentation, particularly test scripts adhering to company guideline testing processes.
  • Undertake specialised and general testing as required, incorporating external stakeholders where relevant.
  • Identify and document platform defects in JIRA.
  • Participate in the deployment when new products are enhanced or added. Provide trainings when necessary.
  • Responsible for continuous development and self-improvement around application knowledge and business processes
  • Continuous improvement mind-set and close collaboration requirement inter and intra team.
  • Participate as a member of a distributed team across Asia and Pacific
  • Perform application support role for allocated systems to help ensure allocated systems meet agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Help consolidate and reduce technical debt

Governance & Delivery

  • Comply with the APAC and Global PMO processes and security standards as directed.
  • Work with Global Security Services on any penetration testing.

Knowledge

  • Experience of working in the Insurance Industry (desirable).
  • Experience of working on risk and risk related problems with different client segments (desirable).
  • Experience in System Designing.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.
  • 5+ years demonstrated IT experience.
  • Evidence of being a successful influencer across different teams and cultures.
