The Training Design Specialist is responsible for transforming instructional content provided by the Learning Solutions Design team into engaging, high-quality learning products. This includes the development of training decks, learning advisories, participant materials, facilitator guides, job aids, and other instructional resources. The role ensures that all outputs meet quality standards, are aligned with the learning objectives, and are delivered within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Turnaround Time (TAT).
Key Responsibilities 1. Learning Product Development
Convert finalized content from Instructional Designers/Content Developers into visually engaging and instructionally sound learning materials.
Develop various learning products including (but not limited to) advisories, training presentations, facilitator and participant guides, manuals, infographics, and quick reference/job aids.
Ensure all materials are accurate, brand-compliant, and aligned with the training objectives.
2. Quality and Standards Compliance
Follow established templates, branding guidelines, and content formatting standards.
Conduct self-checks and peer reviews to ensure error-free and high-quality outputs.
Incorporate feedback from the immediate head and other stakeholders promptly.
3. SLA/TAT Management
Adhere to agreed SLA/TAT for all assigned projects and tasks.
Track and manage multiple design requests, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality.
Provide status updates to the immediate head regarding project progress, risks, and completion timelines.
4. Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with Instructional Designers/Content Developers to clarify content details, intent, and target audience requirements.
Collaborate with other team members for design inspiration, best practices, and continuous improvement of learning products.
Support testing of learning materials where applicable (e.g., pilot runs, dry runs).
Skills & Competencies
Proficient in GSuites and familiar with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Strong attention to detail, layout, and formatting.
Good understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning concepts.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
% of deliverables completed within agreed SLA/TAT.
