Our Information Security and Data Protection team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Makati with the role of Threat Response and Intelligence Officer.

In this role you will support daily cybersecurity operations by detecting and responding to threats while implementing robust security tools and processes to protect the banks infrastructure and information assets. You will provide strategic thought leadership to enhance security posture and resilience through regular control reviews, risk model refinement, and proactive incident response management.

What the role will entail

• Support the development and execution of annual cybersecurity operations and monitoring strategies, including budget planning and strategic alignment to counter evolving threats.
• Manage daily detection and reporting activities in collaboration with the Security Operations Center and managed service providers to protect infrastructure and assets.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of security systems and automation tools, such as SIEM and threat intelligence platforms, while supporting internal and cross-functional IT projects.
• Lead the design of an operational reporting framework that provides the CISO and Risk Oversight Committee with key metrics, trend analysis, and insights into security risks.
• Spearhead incident response, containment, and eradication strategies to minimize business disruption and continuously refine risk models to adapt to emerging threats.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of vulnerability feeds and threat intelligence to prioritize risks and maintain a comprehensive database for executive-level reporting.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and support the creation of tailored cybersecurity training programs to enhance the bank’s overall security posture.

What were looking for

• Bachelors Degree in either Computer Science, Business Management, MIS or any related field
• Possession of a senior-level certification such as CISSP, C-CISO, CISA, or CISM, alongside the ability to communicate security concepts and risk-based program designs to stakeholders ranging from technical teams to the Board of Directors.
• At least 5 years of broad technology experience in infrastructure operations with a proven track record of successfully managing information security programs.
• Proven experience leading complex IT and risk management programs in financial services, including people management, vendor oversight, and the implementation of security technologies such as anti-malware, DLP, and threat detection.
• Deep working knowledge of industry best practices such as NIST, ISO, and SANS, as well as expertise in regulatory compliance requirements including SOX, PCI, and HIPAA.
