Black & White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, with over 1000 employees in teams based in our UK, European, Middle East and Asia Pacific offices. We have been providing a wide range of engineering consultancy services since 2007.

We are looking for a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist with strong expertise in sourcing, screening, and headhunting to support our engineering recruitment efforts across all levels and disciplines. This role will focus on identifying, attracting, and engaging top engineering talent—both active and passive candidates—across various specializations and support functions.

role responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & End-to-End Recruitment

  • Execute end-to-end recruitment for assigned requisitions, covering sourcing, screening, assessment, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding support.
  • Identify, attract, and hire top talent to meet short- and long-term workforce requirements across engineering, design, and corporate disciplines.
  • Source and engage candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, professional networks, industry events, and OFW/overseas talent pools.
  • Conduct initial screening, technical alignment, and candidate assessments to ensure role and culture fit.
  • Coordinate closely with hiring managers to schedule and facilitate interviews, examinations, and hiring decisions.
  • Support a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle while reinforcing the company’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP).

Sourcing Strategy, Talent Mapping & Market Intelligence

  • Perform talent mapping, market research, and pipeline tracking to build sustainable talent pools for current and future hiring needs.
  • Engage passive candidates through targeted and personalized outreach, leveraging engineering and design market knowledge.
  • Provide market insights and compensation intelligence, including talent availability, hiring trends, and competitor benchmarks.

Job Advertising & Employer Branding

  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions and post job advertisements across relevant recruitment platforms.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, university partnerships, and industry-related events.
  • Build and sustain relationships with academic institutions, professional associations, and talent communities to strengthen employer branding.

ATS, Reporting & Recruitment Analytics

    • Manage and maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
    • Generate and support recruitment reports and analytics, including time-to-hire, source effectiveness, and pipeline health.
    • Monitor and support achievement of SLA, time-to-hire, and quality-of-hire targets.
Compliance, Background Checks & Documentation

  • Support employment verification and background checks in compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of recruitment documentation and hiring records.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to understand technical requirements, hiring priorities, and workforce plans.
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, diversity, and inclusion.

Other Duties

      • Perform general administrative and ad hoc tasks necessary for the effective operation of the recruitment function.
job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in end-to-end recruitment, preferably with exposure to engineering roles
  • Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines and related roles
  • Proficient in sourcing tools such as SEEK (Jobstreet), LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and ATS platforms
  • Basic understanding of various engineering disciplines and terminology is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
