Hiring for ST Telemedia Global Data Centre Philippines
STT GDC Philippines is a joint venture between Globe, Ayala, and ST Telemedia Global Data Centre (STT GDC).
ST Telemedia Global Data Centres is one of the fastest-growing data centre providers, headquartered in Singapore, with a global platform of data centres in the world’s major business markets of over 170 facilities across Singapore, the UK, India, China, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines.
STT GDC offers a full suite of best-in-class, highly scalable, and flexible data centre solutions, connectivity, and support services that best meet customers’ current and future colocation needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead current state assessments of business challenges and build financially sound improvement roadmaps.
- Develop, articulate, and execute against the Companys strategic initiatives, with a clear focus on value creation and financial returns.
- Contribute to business development efforts across all stages (market analysis, client sourcing, relationship building, proposal development, oral presentations, etc.), providing strategic and financial insights.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders at all levels, fostering strategic alignment and disciplined execution.
- Actively contribute to strategic insights regarding digital transformation, emerging technology (e.g., data center expansion), macro-economic trends, and regulatory challenges, assessing their financial impact and strategic implications.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Financial Integration:
- Lead the planning and facilitation of comprehensive strategic plans that drive organizational growth, financial performance, and shareholder value.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and Finance teams to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and capital allocation strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives, including their financial performance and return on investment (ROI), making data-driven adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Market, Competitive, and Financial Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape shifts, technological advancements, and growth opportunities within the telco and digital infrastructure sectors.
- Analyze market data, customer insights, industry trends, and their financial implications to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes impacting our financial outlook, and best practices, leveraging this knowledge to enhance the organizations strategic positioning and financial resilience.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Communication:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, shareholder representatives and industry leaders.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategic initiatives, embedding financial discipline throughout.
- Communicate the organizations strategic vision and priorities to stakeholders, including contributing to Board and shareholder presentations, fostering a shared understanding and commitment.
- Coordinate and comply with shareholder strategy team requirements, as well as work with other portfolio companies across all shareholders to leverage on the portfolio’s competitive advantage, seeking synergistic value creation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree with a strong strategy focus preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive proven experience in strategy development, management consulting, business portfolio management, or corporate finance roles within the telco, digital infrastructure, or related technology sectors.
- Deep understanding of strategic planning principles, methodologies, and best practices, coupled with a strong grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and capital markets.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex financial data, market insights, and operational metrics into actionable strategic recommendations.
- Proven ability to develop financial models to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership and Board members.
