About Our Client

The hiring organization is a well-established large organization within the Technology & Telecoms industry.

Job Description

Provide technical support for software applications, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
Monitor application performance and address any disruptions proactively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement updates or enhancements.
Maintain detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and processes.
Assist in application testing and deployment activities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions.
Manage and prioritize support tickets to ensure timely responses.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on application performance.

The Successful Applicant

Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting
Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, etc.), including database administration
Knowledge of systems administration and IT infrastructure (OS, networking, cloud, containers)
Familiarity with Java, Groovy, or any object-oriented programming language
Understanding of multi-tier web applications and supporting infrastructure
Experience in customer-facing roles and leading escalation calls
8-10 years of relevant experience
