Job Summary

The Senior Vice President and Head of Relationship Management & Credit at Amalgamated Investment Bancorporation is responsible for managing the companys corporate/commercial lending, credit, and investment banking relationships.

The role leads business growth, manages key client relationships, oversees credit evaluation and loan portfolio performance, manages risks, and guides teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Client Relationship & Business Development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and institutional clients.
• Find new business opportunities and grow the client portfolio.
• Offer financial solutions and advisory services based on client needs.
• Investment Banking & Advisory
• Handle investment banking opportunities such as:
• Debt and equity raising.
• Mergers & acquisitions (M&A).
• Business valuation and financial advisory.
• Debt restructuring and corporate finance advisory.
• Credit Assessment & Loan Structuring
• Oversee credit evaluation and approval of loan proposals.
• Structure complex credit facilities while balancing risk and profitability.
• Present and defend loan/credit proposals before committees.
• Loan Portfolio Management
• Monitor the overall loan portfolio to ensure:
• Profitability and growth.
• Good portfolio quality.
• Compliance with approved terms and regulations.
• Watch for issues or deviations and take corrective action when needed.
• Risk Management
• Build a strong risk management culture.
• Monitor problem accounts and identify early warning signs.
• Recommend restructuring, recovery, or corrective action for risky accounts.
• Policy, Governance & Stakeholder Management
• Help improve credit and risk policies.
• Work closely with senior leaders, compliance, risk, and operations teams.
• Represent the company in high-level client and business discussions.
• Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing credit and relationship teams.
• Align team performance with company goals.
