Senior Technical Program Manager

Manulife is seeking an awesome Senior Technical Program Manager to join our rapidly expanding IT Organization and assist us as we work to be a digital leader in our industries!

Position Responsibilities

• Oversees the various stages of product development and collaborates with the software development team for managing technical implementation of cross-squad programs across complex technical, regulatory, or other cross-cutting needs.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional experience
• Experience in building and operationalizing Data platforms in cloud using one of the public clouds, preferably MS Azure.
• You are an expert in design, build, implement and support technical data integration solutions for Data Warehouse applications.
• You have expert level knowledge in Data Movement technologies preferably ETL – Informatica PowerCenter.
• You have working experience in integrating the source system data flow with MDM applications.
• You have working Knowledge in data warehousing, including data mapping and transformations, data dependencies, data source analysis and profiling, OLTP, OLAP.
• You have broad knowledge in Relational DBMS, SQL including SQL Server, Teradata and Oracle.
• You have working experience in SQL Programming, creating complex queries, tables, view, and procedures.
• You have practical knowledge in query optimization and performance tuning.
• You have experience in creating detailed technical documentation for data integration (ETL) programs and other deliverables.
• Experience in using Git flow.
• Experience in DevOps and CICD.
• Reviews ETL performance and conducts performance tuning as required on mappings / workflows or SQL.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytics, problem solving and solutioning skills
• A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge on Big Data streaming frameworks and tools (e.g. Spark Streaming, Storm, Kafka, etc.)
• Experience programming in both compiled languages (Java, Scala) and scripting languages (Python or R)
• Exposure to and an understanding of Agile scrum methodologies and experience of working in an Agile team
• Experience in Data processing, performance analysis, tuning and capacity planning
