Senior External Auditor

Overview

Asiacruit BPO is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Auditor (External) to strengthen our auditing team. This role is responsible for leading and executing external financial audits—including 401(k), 403(b), and Employee Benefit Plan audits—ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and delivering actionable insights that enhance the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our clients.. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in external audit engagements, particularly in BPO/shared services organizations, and brings both technical rigor and client-focused problem-solving to every engagement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Plan and scope audits by understanding audit objectives, structures, internal controls, policies, and external regulations; identifying risk areas; and preparing detailed audit programs.
• Execute audit procedures by testing general ledgers, account balances, balance sheets, income statements, and related financial statements; examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and supporting documentation.
• Assess compliance with applicable audit requirements, accounting standards (US GAAP), and industry regulations.
• Document audit findings by preparing audit work papers, memoranda, and working papers in accordance with professional standards.
• Communicate audit progress through regular status updates, highlighting unresolved issues, and preparing comprehensive final audit reports.
• Provide client value-add insights by identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, strengthen controls, and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate and mentor by supporting team members, sharing best practices, and contributing to the success of audit engagements.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 3–5 years of external audit experience in a public accounting firm.
• Proven experience leading the planning, execution, and reporting of financial statement audits under US GAAP.
• Prior audit exposure to BPO or shared services organizations preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and cloud-based auditing software (e.g., Engagement Manager).
• Must be willing to work full-time with occasional extended hours.
