About The Role

The Senior Consultant Sustainability Reporting will report to the Delivery Head of the Consulting Team and work closely with colleagues in the area of Corporate Sustainability.

The role will primarily focus on Sustainability Reporting, but will also involve work in Energy Management, GHG Emissions, and Environmental Management. The consultant will engage directly with clients, lead gap assessments, facilitate workshops/training, prepare sustainability reports, conduct data analysis, and manage projects. The position also entails managing and supervising junior staff to ensure successful delivery of project requirements.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Project Management and Execution: Manage and implement sustainability related projects, defining goals, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Strategic Planning and Collaboration: Develop comprehensive sustainability strategies and action plans that align with the clients business objectives and industry standards.
  • Sustainability Expertise: Provide expert advice on local and international environmental regulations and standards, ensuring the client meets all requirements.
  • Implementation Support: Guide clients through the implementation of sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Risk and Opportunity Analysis: Identify sustainability-related risks and opportunities, helping clients mitigate potential issues and leverage sustainable practices for competitive advantage.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report sustainability data, offering insights to measure impact and meet reporting requirements (e.g., ESG, GRI).
  • Capacity Building: Provide training and workshops to build the clients and internal capacity to manage and sustain long-term sustainability efforts.
  • People and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support junior staff to ensure quality delivery, professional growth, and a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years in sustainability-related projects covering GRI, TCFD, CDP, SASB.
  • Having experience working on ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 or related standards would be an advantage.
  • Experience in consulting/auditing and client servicing functions.
  • Able to multitask, and shift priorities quickly and efficiently in a very dynamic environment and focus on highest value outcomes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills - English is a MUST
  • Detail-oriented with problem solving mindset and strong analytical thinking ability.
  • Open-minded and keen to learn
  • Willingness and ability to network with senior decision makers optimize social opportunities and close the deal.
