Job Description
Job Summary
The Logistics & Permitting Senior Associate will work closely with the Logistics & Permitting Manager, other departments and stakeholders to oversee and process all permitting requirements necessary for the release of imported equipment and claiming of incentives such as duty-free importation and VAT-refund.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit required applications and reports to regulatory agencies (related to the scope of the Employer) ensuring compliance to local regulatory requirements and Vena Energy policies and procedures.
Consolidate and submit permitting requirements for importation necessary for claiming of tax incentives. (i.e. Bureau of Customs (BOC), BOI, Department of Finance (DOF), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)).
Check compliance of importation permitting requirements (under the scope of the Employer) i.e. Bureau of Customs (BOC), BOI, Department of Finance (DOF), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR);
Support in regulatory audits conducted by BOC and other agencies related to the importation of goods.
Support the Logistics Manager in coordinating with the construction team and the EPC Contractors - its brokers and forwarders, all importation related requirements and communications.
Support the Logistics Manager in checking import shipping documents from the EPC contractors, permitting requirements, and applicable shipping cost charges to ensure appropriateness and adequacy;
Transmit complete set of documents to Customs Broker for customs clearing.
Tracking, monitoring, reporting of data and safe keeping of documentations related to the shipment from the port of origin until delivery on site;
Ensure that all related importation records for the Project are in-place and uploaded in the respective Project folders.
Monitor and update Logistics Manager on regulatory importation compliance and other logistics matters of SPV companies; and
Assist with other duties that may be assigned.
Pre-requisites
Graduate of Customs Administration or any related course
Preferably with at least 5 yrs experience as an Import / Export Officer / Procurement Officer / Specialist which handles importation / Logistics Officer / Regulatory Officer
Expert knowledge in BOC processes in importation, clearing, computation of duties and taxes, payment of applicable fees and delivery of goods
Knowledgeable on regulatory requirements related to Importation of goods
Expert knowledge in different Incoterms and its applications
Excellent English communicator
Can multi -task and handle several projects at the same time
