Security Operations Manager

This is a full time hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Makati office.

This role may need to occasionally work evenings and weekends as situations arise. This is a 365 - 24/7 global team with a “follow-the-sun” framework.

Job Description Summary

What the day will look like

Oversees the day to day operational workflow and deliverables of the APAC Regional team. Conducts a variety of complex assignments within his/her area of responsibility. Leads incident responses/emergency preparedness activities and provides in-depth research and analysis in support of the risk and security framework of the organization.

Job Description

  • Serve as primary point of escalation for the APAC region for any matters reported into GEOC.
  • Manage broad & complex global incidents, emergency notification systems, escalation notifications and help coordinate follow-up actions across a dispersed team during emergencies and major business interruptions.
  • Contribute to the development, re-evaluation and maintenance of the GEOC’s role within the enterprise-wide risk management framework (policy, standards, aide memoires, SOPs, playbooks, escalation protocols, etc.).
  • Oversee application of emergency notification systems.
  • Provide 24/7/365 assistance to colleagues and the business over the phone, e-mail and in person to ensure effective and timely resolution when incidents occur. Participate in 24/7/365 coverage basis backfilling vacant shift slots as needed.
  • Monitor intelligence activity and supporting intelligence assessments to determine potential risks and threats to the business.
  • Assist in the establishment of methodologies to solve analytical problems when raw unfinished data contain information gaps and require validation.
  • Deliver metrics and measurements supporting program evolution and validation as needed.
  • Build partnerships with other internal stakeholders and private/public sector entities responsible for threat related operations, threat monitoring, crisis management and response.
  • Apply the GEOC’s onboarding and training standards with the assistance of other GEOC regional leads and the Global Head, Global Emergency Operations Center.
  • Manage the team execution of GEOC engagements and service level agreements for various stakeholder groups across the enterprise ensuring processes are followed, objectives achieved, and quality delivered.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • 4-year degree – focus in Emergency Management, Homeland Security or a related field a plus
  • 4-6 + years of experience administering emergency response programs; managing emergency notification platforms a plus
  • 3-5 + years of emergency operations center experience
  • 1-3 + years of vendor platform integration experience
  • Advanced skills with Excel or other database manipulation tools.
  • Must have a track record displaying courteous and professional behavior when dealing with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively influence the behaviors and decisions of others
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Must be able to effectively plan, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Including the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
