Position Overview
The SEM Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing paid search campaigns across major search engines and paid media platforms for clients in the dental and hospitality sectors. This role requires a blend of hands‑on SEM execution, data‑driven analysis, creative testing, and cross‑channel collaboration to drive efficient lead and booking volume. You will work closely with account managers, creative teams, and analytics partners to deliver predictable performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Planning
Develop and document SEM strategies tailored for dental clinics and hospitality properties, targeting awareness, lead generation, appointment bookings, and direct reservations.
Define target audiences, keyword themes, bidding strategies, budget allocations, and KPI frameworks aligned with client objectives.
Conduct keyword research, competitive benchmarking, and opportunity assessments to inform campaign roadmaps.
Campaign Setup & Execution
Create and manage search campaigns across Google Ads and other platforms, including responsive search ads, expanded text ads, and dynamic search ads.
Implement ad extensions, audience targeting, geo‑targeting, schedule bid adjustments, and conversion tracking according to best practices.
Coordinate with design and development teams on landing page recommendations to improve Quality Score and conversion rates.
Optimization & Performance Management
Perform ongoing bid, budget, and keyword optimizations to meet CPA, CPL, ROAS, and conversion volume targets.
Run structured A/B tests on headlines, descriptions, creatives, and landing pages; iterate based on statistical insights and business impact.
Monitor campaign performance, identify issues such as declining traffic quality or invalid clicks, and take corrective action promptly.
Measurement & Reporting
Implement and validate conversion tracking via Google Tag Manager and analytics platforms; ensure data consistency and accuracy.
Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and insights for clients and internal stakeholders, including recommendations and action plans.
Analyze performance trends, user behavior, LTV implications, and attribution data to guide smarter budget allocation.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with account managers, creative, SEO, and analytics teams to align messaging, promotional calendars, and user journeys.
Support client onboarding by documenting campaign requirements, timelines, and performance expectations.
Share best practices, learnings, and frameworks to enhance overall SEM capability across the team.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on SEM experience managing paid search campaigns for local service businesses, preferably in dental or hospitality sectors.
Experience optimizing campaigns for appointments, leads, or direct online bookings is preferred.
Core Competencies
Proven expertise with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and relevant ad platform interfaces.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data, conduct A/B testing, and make data‑driven decisions.
Proficiency in bid strategies (manual, target CPA, ROAS), keyword match types, negative keyword management, and audience targeting.
Strong written communication and ad copywriting skills focused on conversion‑oriented messaging.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Technical & Preferred Skills
Experience using reporting and dashboard tools such as Looker Studio, Data Studio, or Tableau.
Knowledge of Singapore’s market dynamics, booking behaviors, and healthcare advertising regulations.
Certifications such as Google Ads Search or Google Analytics are an advantage.
