About Our Client
Our client is a start-up, fast-growing non-bank financial institution providing short-term and term loan facilities to SMEs and underbanked businesses across multiple industries. They offer financing solutions such as invoice financing, receivables bridging, and amortizing term loans.
Job Description
Manage and nurture a portfolio of existing and newly assigned SME borrowers
Maintain a profitable, low-NPL loan book with proactive monitoring
Develop deep knowledge of each borrower, including cash flow cycles and business performance
Conduct regular business reviews and recommend cross-sell or upsell opportunities
Collaborate closely with the Credit team to ensure strong credit discipline and portfolio health
Communicate clearly and assertively with clients, including situations that require declining requests
Ensure high client satisfaction while protecting the companys lending position
Serve as the main relationship contact; not a sales or lead‑generation role
The Successful Applicant
At least 5 years of experience in SME/commercial lending
Preferably from traditional banks (e.g., commercial/SME banking teams) or NBFIs in the same space
Strong background in credit discussions, loan renewals, and borrower management
Ability to handle complex, high-touch borrower relationships
Charismatic, firm, professional, and able to say "no" while maintaining engagement
Comfortable working closely with credit, legal, and accounting teams
