R&D Head / Product Development Lead (Coconut-Based Products)

Our client is looking for an experienced R&D leader to develop and launch coconut-based products across food, beverage, and personal care. You will lead the full innovation cycle—from concept and formulation to prototyping, testing, and scale-up to manufacturing—ensuring products are clean-label, natural, sustainable, and market-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead formulation, prototyping, stability/sensory testing, and pilot trials
• Optimize processes for quality, efficiency, shelf life, and performance
• Drive feasibility studies, cost analysis, and documentation for new concepts
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP, ISO, ISO 22716; ASEAN/EU as applicable)
• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, QA/QC, Procurement, and Sales
• Track trends, benchmark competitors, and build an innovation pipeline
  
  

• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Biotechnology, or related field
• Strong expertise in formulation, scale-up, and commercialization; knowledge of coconut derivatives
• 8–12+ years in R&D for food/beverage/beauty/personal care (coconut experience preferred)
• At least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
