Job Overview
The QA Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and confidence of our software products. Working closely with Developers, Product, and the Senior Technical Business Analyst, this role helps validate requirements, surface issues early, and support smooth, predictable releases.
This role is well-suited to an intermediate-level QA who enjoys being hands-on, learning the system deeply, and contributing across the delivery lifecycle — not just at the end.
The QA Analyst contributes through thoughtful test design, hands-on testing (primarily manual), release readiness support, and continuous improvement of QA practices and coverage.
Duties And Responsibilities
Review product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure they are clear, testable, and complete
Create and maintain practical test plans, test cases, and scenarios for functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
Execute manual testing across web applications and clearly document outcomes
Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence, and appropriate severity
Work closely with Developers to validate fixes, re-test changes, and prevent regressions
Support regression testing and release readiness checks prior to deployments
Contribute to test automation efforts where applicable (experience helpful but not mandatory)
Perform basic non-functional testing such as usability, accessibility, compatibility, and data validation as required
Maintain QA documentation and contribute to improving test coverage and shared QA practices
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, refinement, planning, retrospectives), raising risks and quality considerations early
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Experience working as a QA Analyst, Software Tester, or similar role
Solid understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and defect management
Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
Comfortable working within cross-functional teams and collaborating day-to-day with Developers and Analysts
TOOLS & TECHNICAL EXPOSURE
Exact tools are flexible — we value capability and learning mindset over specific platforms
Test Management & Documentation
Test case management tools (e.g. TestRail, Zephyr, Xray) or structured documentation approaches
Documentation tools (e.g. Confluence, Google Workspace, MS Office)
Defect Tracking & Collaboration
Bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps)
Collaboration tools (e.g. Teams, Slack)
Automation & Technical (Nice to Have)
Exposure to UI automation tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)
API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
Basic scripting or technical curiosity (e.g. JavaScript, SQL)
Awareness of CI/CD concepts is a plus, not a requirement
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
Clear written communication for test cases and defect reporting
Curious, analytical, and comfortable asking “what if?”
Willingness to raise risks early and challenge assumptions respectfully
Good time management in a fast-moving delivery environment
Eager to learn new systems, tools, and domains
