Job Description

The Operations Head will lead and oversee the operational delivery of renewable energy projects and technical services across the Philippines. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient project execution, resource management, profitability, quality, safety, and client satisfaction across solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transmission, and power-related projects.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in renewable energy, power generation, engineering consultancy, inspection, testing, certification, or project management services, with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Lead day-to-day operations and ensure successful delivery of renewable energy projects.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives and growth targets.
  • Establish operational policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Monitor and improve operational efficiency, productivity, and service quality.

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee project planning, mobilization, execution, and completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client requirements.
  • Manage project risks, resources, schedules, and operational challenges.
  • Support project teams in resolving technical and commercial issues.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project developers, utilities, EPC contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Participate in project reviews, strategic meetings, and business planning discussions.
  • Support business development efforts through technical and operational expertise.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Manage operational budgets and resource planning.
  • Monitor project profitability, utilization, and financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational improvements.
  • Support contract review, project forecasting, and revenue planning.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, engineers, inspectors, and technical specialists.
  • Drive workforce planning, capability development, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.

Quality, Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with Company policies, ISO standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
  • Promote and maintain a strong Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) culture.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Lead operational audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • MBA, Master's Degree, or Project Management certification is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in renewable energy, power generation, engineering consultancy, inspection, testing, certification, or project management services.
  • At least 7 years of senior leadership experience managing large-scale operations and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Background

  • Experience with international renewable energy developers, utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, or Independent Engineering firms.
  • Familiarity with Philippine renewable energy regulations and industry practices.
  • Background in solar farms, wind farms, substations, transmission lines, and energy transition projects.
  • Experience within Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC), Owner's Engineering, or Technical Advisory organizations such as Bureau Veritas, DNV, UL Solutions, TÜV, SGS, or similar companies.
