What is the role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will lead a major network transformation by driving the migration from Cisco to Arista. This high-impact position blends strategic leadership with deep technical expertise, requiring extensive experience in Arista Networks and Fortinet firewalls. Youll guide a team of engineers through complex challenges, ensuring seamless execution, operational excellence, and long-term success.

This is a 21-month contract position.

Other duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:

• Architect and maintain Arista-based network infrastructures and Fortinet NGFW & SD-WAN solutions
• Design Layer 2/3 topologies using Arista EOS, Cloud Vision, and spine-leaf architecture
• Lead configuration, policy development, and performance tuning of Fortinet firewalls
• Supervise and mentor a team of network engineers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects
• Drive automation efforts using Python, Ansible, and Fortinet APIs
• Collaborate across cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud application teams
• Develop and enforce Zero Trust segmentation across Arista and Fortinet platforms
• Troubleshoot complex network and security events using Forti Manager and Forti Analyzer

Who we are looking for

Successful candidate must possess:

• Must have 7–10 years in enterprise network engineering
• Must have 5+ years with Arista Networks and Fortinet Firewall (senior-level)
• Must be certified Arista ACE Level 3+, Arista Certified Engineer, Cisco CCIE
• Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE, Fortinet NSE 4+ is preferred
• Strategic, security-focused, adaptable leader
• Leadership experience managing network engineers
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Innovation-driven with strong mentoring abilities
  
  

Technical Skills:

• BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN
• Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Fort iOS, Python, Ansible, REST APIs
• Azure, AWS, GCP; SDN and micro segmentation
