We have a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Building Services group.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Perform design projects including analysis, evaluation, design reports, calculations, and drawings for projects that will be assigned in accordance with standards and GHD procedures. \
• Ensures junior team members are adhering to delivery standards and ensures essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own industry. Uses discretion within set boundaries (operating procedures, processes, standards) to execute own tasks within a narrower job area to achieve defined deadlines / targets in the most effective and efficient way. Is required to coordinate activities with peers in same discipline to meet deadlines and achieve set targets in the most effective and efficient way.
• Work closely with UAE counterpart to establish the resourcing (schedule and manage workload for the team), system, and processes to deliver services to meet client expectations and requirements.
• Preparing design packages for projects of varying scale, within budget and schedule
• Completion and review of electrical design calculations. Technical review and quality control of design drawings and documents.
• Support in responding RFIs when necessary.
  
  

What you will bring to the team:

• Minimum of +10 years’ design experience, experience in Middle East projects is a must.
• Extensive experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems
• Experience in Life Sciences, including pharmaceutical and healthcare facilities.
• Experienced in plumbing and firefighting design and well-qualified to review and lead public health design projects.
• In-depth knowledge of fluid mechanics, pipe flow, and pump selection,
• Proven track record in building services design with different types of sectors, including high rise, commercial, residential, retail, Healthcare, Industrial, refurbishment, etc;
• Knowledge of heat load calculation, design software such as HAP, IES etc
• Software capability in BIM360 and Revit.
• Detailed knowledge of international design standards, BSEN, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc
  
  

This job offer can be based either in Makati, Quezon City or Cebu, depending on your home base/location.

Candidates must be a Filipino citizen or have the right to work in the Philippines.
