Job Description The Successful Applicant

  • Marketing Strategy & Brand Leadership
  • Develops and executes marketing strategies that strengthen brand presence and drive sustainable business growth.
  • Leads the creation and implementation of annual brand plans, incorporating consumer insights, category trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Directs strategic initiatives across both retail and food service channels, ensuring clear positioning and alignment with commercial goals.
  • Builds a structured and process-driven marketing function with standardized ways of working.
  • Net Revenue Management (NRM) & Commercial Excellence
  • Leads NRM/RGM initiatives, including pricing strategy, promotion effectiveness, portfolio management, and profitability optimization.
  • Partners with Sales and Finance teams to support commercial planning, pricing decisions, and demand forecasting.
  • Elevates internal NRM capabilities and embeds commercially sound decision-making within the marketing team.
  • Campaign Development & Product Innovation
  • Oversees the development and execution of integrated consumer and shopper campaigns across digital, in-store, and traditional media.
  • Leads cross-functional teams in the successful launch of new products, ensuring strong positioning and impactful go-to-market plans.
  • Monitors and evaluates campaign performance through KPIs, ROI, and market feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development
  • Manages and mentors a team of six marketers, including three direct reports, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Builds team capability through coaching, structured development, and ongoing training.
  • Ensures strong team cohesion and supports team members through business transitions and growth opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serves as a strategic partner to Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and senior leadership to ensure full alignment on marketing priorities and execution plans.
  • Provides regular updates on brand performance, marketing activities, and commercial implications.
  • Builds credibility across the organization by demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and collaboration capabilities.
  • Operational Excellence & Budget Stewardship
  • Oversees the marketing budget with financial discipline, ensuring investments align with strategic priorities and deliver measurable impact.
  • Ensures operational excellence through organized documentation, timely reporting, and efficient processes.
  • Implements improvements thoughtfully, taking into account organizational scale, resources, and readiness for change.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in FMCG marketing, ideally with exposure to both retail and food service.
  • Proven track record in brand management, marketing strategy, campaign development, and product launches.
  • Strong experience or solid working knowledge of Net Revenue Management (NRM/RGM).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of 3-6 members
  • Experience working in lean or mid-sized organizations is an advantage.
