Our center provides comprehensive administrative, financial and operational services across office operations, compliance and new business, finance, technology, human resources, innovation and marketing. By centralizing these critical functions, the center ensures consistency and quality in service delivery while reducing operational costs. Through its integrated approach, our Global Operating Center enables the Firm to focus on its core legal services, drive global growth and maintain high standards of client service across all offices.
The Manager, Office Support plays an important role, working directly with Office Support leadership and the team to ensure the everyday operations run smoothly and efficiently. Operating with a largely operational/tactical focus, they contribute to and support strategic decision-making. The incumbent will utilize comprehensive knowledge to address complex challenges without clear precedent.
The Roles And Responsibilities Of This Job Include
- Contributes to the professional direction for an Office Support discipline, such as Business Administration or Hospitality
- Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of a discipline to address complex issues and challenges without clear precedent
- Provides in-depth specialist advice to the Office Support team including contractors and vendors, equipping them to effectively meet the needs of the business
- May lead as a project manager, providing technical knowledge and specialized expertise to help enact change and implement Office Support related initiatives
- Oversees the management of relevant resources and equipment, ensuring optimal utility while observing budget and sustainability considerations
- Serves as an escalated point of contact within the team, handling complex queries and issues, and offering insights and recommendations to resolve these effectively
- Leads collaboration with teams across the business to successfully implement relevant Office Support programmes and initiatives, setting a high standard of operational excellence within the team
- Managers at this level will lead one or more teams of supervisors and/or professionals and coordinators, managing operations within a designated area or department
- Individual contributors at this level will lead projects within a broader initiative, providing technical guidance and setting priorities for the team as well as reviewing the work of others
- Engaging in operational and tactical activities, contributing to and supporting decision-making within the team/Sub-Function
- Subject matter expert, possessing advanced and specialized expertise in the discipline, including methodologies, processes and able to address atypical issues within own field
- Managing small professional and/or defined delivery teams across regional and global offices, impacting business primarily through professional or technical contributions to an area of specialty
- Ability to think critically and analytically, leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of the Firm
- Bachelors degree or equivalent through experience/relevant certifications where appropriate to the discipline
