Job Description
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define the product vision and multi‑year roadmap for acquiring services such as onboarding, authorizations, routing, settlement, and chargeback handling.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis across merchant acquiring, PSP capabilities, and omnichannel commerce.
Build business cases, forecast product impact, and prioritize features using data-driven insights.
Product Development & Execution
Convert product requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
Lead end-to-end product delivery-from discovery and design to development, testing, certification, and enablement.
Manage integrations with card schemes, gateways, processors, risk engines, and value‑added services.
Collaborate with UX teams to deliver intuitive merchant and partner experiences.
Merchant & Partner Experience
Improve merchant onboarding, underwriting, and approval workflows to minimize friction.
Optimize transaction performance including authorization rates, routing logic, and reconciliation processes.
Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, scheme rules, and AML/KYC regulations.
Operational Excellence
Monitor key performance metrics: authorization ratios, dispute and fraud rates, settlement timing, and system uptime.
Work with operations and support teams to address merchant issues and incidents.
Identify automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Commercial & Go-to-Market Support
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and partnerships on product packaging, positioning, and pricing.
Support negotiations with processors, acquiring banks, ISOs, and payment facilitators.
Train internal teams on product updates and merchant value propositions.
The Successful Applicant
Required
3-7+ years of product management experience within payments, fintech, merchant acquiring, or related fields.
Deep understanding of acquiring fundamentals including interchange, fees, settlement, chargebacks, fraud, underwriting, and processing flows.
Experience working with APIs and collaborating closely with engineering teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to define and interpret KPIs.
Excellent communication skills across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
Familiarity with PCI-DSS, AML/KYC, and card‑scheme compliance requirements.
Preferred
Experience with omnichannel payments, POS systems, payment gateways, or PayFac/ISO models.
Hands-on experience integrating with acquirers, processors, or card network services.
Knowledge of global payment markets and cross-border nuances.
Background in high-growth fintech or merchant-facing organizations.
