POSITION OVERVIEW

The Junior Frontend Developer is responsible for building and maintaining user-facing web interfaces to achieve high-quality, scalable digital experiences by leveraging modern frontend frameworks such as React and Next.js. The role focuses on translating design and product requirements into functional, performant, and maintainable code. This position operates primarily at an execution level, contributing to feature delivery while developing technical proficiency. Success in this role is measured by code quality, delivery reliability, and the ability to grow into independent ownership of frontend components.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Frontend Development & Implementation

• Develop responsive and reusable UI components using React and Next.js to support product feature delivery
• Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, maintainable frontend code aligned with design specifications
  
  

Code Quality & Maintainability

• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices
• Participate in code reviews to ensure consistency, readability, and performance optimization
  
  

Collaboration & Delivery Execution

• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product managers to deliver features aligned with requirements
• Contribute to sprint commitments and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks
  
  

Performance & Optimization

• Assist in optimizing frontend performance, including page load speed, rendering efficiency, and responsiveness
• Identify and resolve basic performance bottlenecks in frontend applications
  
  

Testing & Debugging

• Perform basic testing and debugging to ensure functionality, usability, and cross-browser compatibility
• Support issue resolution in development and staging environments
  
  

Learning & Continuous Improvement

• Actively build proficiency in React, Next.js, and modern frontend tooling
• Stay updated with frontend development trends and apply relevant improvements under guidance
  
  

WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• With 2–3 years of experience in frontend development; a combination of professional work, internships, and relevant project experience can be considered
• Exposure to building web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Proficiency in Typescript (preferred) / JavaScript (ES6+)
• Working knowledge of React and Next.js
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs (Application Programming Interfaces)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Familiarity with modern tooling (e.g., npm, Webpack, or Vite)
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to code quality
• Ability to follow structured guidance and accept feedback
• Effective communication and collaboration within a development team
• Accountability in delivering assigned tasks
