The IT Manager manages IT services, the IT infrastructure and the computing resources of the Firm. He ensures that IT services are continuously available, secure and updated/aligned to Firm operations. The IT Manager will lead and supervise IT projects aimed at improving the IT infrastructure. The IT Manager will lead all IT department initiatives toward full digitalization of all office resources and toward accreditation of internal IT systems under ISO27001.
- Oversee the monitoring, administration and maintenance of the firms IT infrastructure and assets including:
a. in coordination with the Accounting Manager, the firms billing and collection system, lawyers daily service report,
b. in coordination with the Records Manager, the records and docket system,
c. in coordination with the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Information System, the performance
evaluation system, and attendance and timekeeping system,
d. in coordination with the Administrative Manager, the photocopying and scanning network, telephone system, etc.
2. In coordination with the Information Security Manager, implement network security initiatives based on information security policies and guidelines
3. Lead the planning, budgeting and implementing of appropriate new technology, modifications/upgrades in IT infrastructure and
assets, including the transition of the firms IT infrastructure towards full digitalization, accreditation for ISO27001 and the use of AI in systems administration and legal management
4. Oversee trouble shooting and manage the Firms help desk operations
5. Oversee systems backups and archiving and implement disaster recovery/contingency plans for business continuity
6. Establish and maintain vendor/service provider relationships and manage the purchase of hardware and software products and
other IT supplies
7. Propose, in consultation with affected sectors, IT policies necessary to maintain the efficient provision and use of IT services
8. Draft IT-related communications that should be relayed to management and/or staff
9. Prepare and present IT reports for trend analysis and decision-making purposes
10. Evaluate internal processes, identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions
11. Keep current in and provide expert opinion on new and emerging technologies that may be useful/applicable to Firm operations
12. Oversee the administration of IT-related training programs
