Job Description
Main Tasks
Review medical records Read doctors notes, lab results, and treatment records carefully.
Assign ICD codes Translate diagnoses, procedures, and treatments into standard ICD codes.
Ensure accuracy Make sure codes match the patients medical record to avoid billing errors.
Compliance check Follow ICD guidelines, data privacy rules, and insurance requirements.
Clarification and research Sometimes contact doctors or staff if the records are unclear.
Reporting and analytics support Codes are used for hospital stats, insurance claims, and research.
