Job Description

  • Record, review, and maintain accurate and complete accounting transactions and journal entries in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
  • Prepare accounting entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, reclassifications, intercompany transactions, and other adjustments
  • Maintain complete and organized accounting schedules and supporting documentation (e.g. revenue and receivables; project development, construction in progress and fixed assets; right-of-use assets and lease liabilities, decommissioning assets and liabilities, intercompany transactions, loans and other liabilities, equity, WESM transactions)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and financial reporting packages
  • Analyze account movements, trends, and variances and identify unusual or unsupported transactions; and support the preparation of management reports
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), company accounting policies, and reporting requirements
  • Provide schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents required for internal and external (financial and regulatory) audits
  • Participate in the development and updating of accounting processes and reporting procedures
  • Act as the custodian of the accounting system (i.e. Netsuite); support implementation, enhancement, and testing activities involving accounting function
  • Monitor tax filing, payment and e-submissions prepared by the external service provider
  • Prepare accounting-related reportorial requirements to regulatory agencies (e.g., DOE, BOI, LGUs)
  • Accountable for the issuance and safekeeping of sales invoices
  • Assist in the application of tax refunds
  • Other general accounting and financial reporting requirements

The Successful Applicant

A Successful General Ledger Accountant Should Have

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience in general accounting and financial reporting preferably in a renewable energy industry
  • Good understanding of Philippine accounting (PAS/PFRS) and tax requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite)
  • Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Strong experience in account reconciliation and financial statement analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
