The Financial Solutions Assistant Manager supports the Finance Manager in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting processes, and delivering effective financial solutions that align with organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, sound knowledge of general accounting principles, and the ability to manage and guide a team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role and solid experience in general accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
Assist in managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Accounting & Compliance
Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS (as applicable) and internal financial controls.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
Monitor and improve internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
Leadership & Team Management
Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
Assist in training and development of team members.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Financial Solutions & Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
Support implementation or optimization of financial systems and tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to provide financial solutions that support operational objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong background in general accounting and financial reporting.
Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification (preferred but not required).
