The Data Quality Manger oversees the Data Engineering and Data Quality Analytics units within CDT, ensuring high-quality, trusted data assets that support FCC analytics, testing, and reporting. The role is governance- and oversight-focused, providing technical leadership while empowering the DQ Analyst and Data Engineers in executing SQL, Python, profiling scripts, and data quality processes.
This role establishes data quality standards, coordinates cross-functional work, monitors project delivery, manages access requests, and ensures clear, consistent communication across DQ, DE, QA and Compliance teams. The DQ Lead drives operational excellence, owns unit performance, and ensures DQ initiatives are delivered on-time, within scope, and with clear documentation and traceability.
Position Responsibilities
- Leadership & Unit Management
- Lead and manage two units: Data Engineering (DE) and Data Quality Analytics (DQA).
- Drive operating rhythm, performance management, coaching, and capability uplift across both teams.
- Establish collaboration models and remove roadblocks to maintain delivery momentum. Data Quality Governance & Standards
- Set and enforce data quality standards, documentation, lineage, and validation practices.
- Provide oversight for SQL/Python scripts, profiling logic, and data quality methodologies.
- Ensure repeatable, audit-ready processes for profiling, validation, and quality checks. Project Oversight & Delivery
- Monitor end-to-end progress of DQ initiatives; maintain centralized tracking and reporting.
- Validate analytics reports and quality outputs before release.
- Facilitate regular standups, syncs, and stakeholder updates; escalate risks with solutions. Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Data Engineering, Data Quality Analyst, and cross-functional FCC partners.
- Prepare and present project status, insights, risks, and decisions to leadership. Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance on SQL, Python, profiling logic, and best-practice data validation.
- Review complex scripts or logic when needed, while remaining governance-focused rather than hands-on.
- Ensure alignment with Data Engineering on pipelines, data readiness, and issue remediation. Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and improve the DQ operating model, including process flows and documentation templates.
- Build and maintain centralized monitoring files/logs for traceability and governance.
- Technical Skills
- Strong SQL and Python leadership for reviewing and guiding DQ/DQ profiling scripts.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and enterprise data ecosystems.
- Experience with data profiling tools, lineage documentation, and quality frameworks.
- Power BI or other visualization tools (good to have) Compliance & Financial Crimes Operations Knowledge
- Working knowledge of AML, KYC, Sanctions, and general FCC datasets.
- Understanding of regulator-ready data practices, documentation standards, and audit expectations. Leadership & Professional Skills

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data quality, data analysis, data engineering, or data governance roles.
- Experience leading teams or multi-unit functions.
- Background in compliance, risk, or regulated data environments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to design and enforce data quality standards at scale.
