Job Summary

  • Evaluates credit worthiness of all credit customers using the Standard and Poor credit risk rating system as implemented by the parent bank.

How will you contribute?

  • Exceptions are those under specific credit programs. Output shall be in the form of a credit rating memorandum following the format and data specifications of the parent bank
  • Validates financials and cash flow projections through review of financial forecasts and sensitivity analyses to determine viability of the existing and/or proposed credit exposure
  • Ensures that risk rating of customers are available in a timely manner
  • Reviews the ageing of past due on a monthly basis the determine the status of non-performing accounts, adjusts classification when warranted by the development (to start 01/2024)
  • Keeps abreast of updates on regulatory policies including those stipulated by the Anti-money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MLTPP) thru circulars, mandatory seminars and programs and adheres to those policies
  • Assists the Division Head in examining the credit application of customers through identification of risk areas, proper packaging and compliance with policies, credit bulletins and regulatory announcements
  • Provides assistance to the Division Head in handling BSP and other regulatory examinations of the Company in coordination with regulatory examiners and all business units such as Operations and Accounting, Marketing and Documentation to ensure that the Company passes the examination
  • Join calls and visits conducted by Marketing to credit customers to understand the nuances of the business model and identify risk and vulnerabilities
  • Performs additional functions and special projects that may be assigned by the Division Head within the assigned timelines.

What will make you successful?

  • Bachelors Degree in Economics, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Financial Management or other finance-related courses.
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • With knowledge in account management or credit review, evaluating credit proposals, validating and analyzing financial statements, and generating risk ratings of individual borrowers.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
