Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Electricity Trading
- Develop and execute electricity trading strategies to optimize procurement costs and manage market risks.
- Monitor energy market conditions, analyze trends, and identify trading opportunities.
- Negotiate trading agreements and contracts with energy suppliers and brokers.
- Manage trading positions and portfolios to maximize profitability.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and market rules that impact electricity trading activities.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for electricity supply to customers.
- Analyze market dynamics, demand patterns, and competitor pricing to set competitive rates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor pricing solutions for various customer segments.
- Ensure pricing strategies align with the companys financial objectives and profitability targets.
- Oversee accurate and timely invoicing and billing of electricity consumption for customers and internal departments.
- Lead the reconciliation of invoices, validation of meter data, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Establish and maintain billing and settlement processes that comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage and resolve inquiries and disputes related to billing and settlement.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on billing and settlement activities for management and regulatory purposes.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering, finance, economics, energy management, or a related field
- Relevant experience in electricity trading, pricing, billing, and settlement roles
- Preferably has prior experience working in the renewables industry.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of the Philippine power industry dynamics.
