Job Description

The Channel Development Head is responsible for driving the growth and development of bancassurance channels. This role will lead strategic initiatives to strengthen existing and new distribution channels, foster partnerships, and implement digital innovations. The incumbent will work closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize customer touchpoints, elevate customer experience, and achieve business objectives.

Position Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Formulate and drive the execution of strategic plans aimed at expanding and optimizing bancassurance channels.
  • Identify and develop new leads opportunities to increase penetration.

Channel And Partnership Development

  • Strengthen existing relationships with bank partners and seek new collaborations to enhance distribution efficiency.
  • Work with partners to co-create solutions that meet both customer needs and business objectives.

Digital Innovation And Transformation

  • Lead the adoption of digital technologies to enhance sales and customer engagement to streamline channel operations.
  • Oversee the development of digital platforms that improve customer interaction and service delivery.

Customer Experience Enhancement

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement initiatives that improve customer touchpoints and satisfaction.
  • Analyze customer feedback and market trends to inform continuous improvement efforts.

Performance Monitoring And Reporting

  • Establish metrics and KPIs for assessing the performance of bancassurance channels.
  • Regularly review and report on progress against business development goals.

Team Leadership And Development

  • Manage and guide Digital Enablement team to achieve strategic and business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Holder with more than 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in insurance, banking and / or fintech.
  • Business Development and Project management experience, preferably with channel, digital and technology initiatives
  • Human Centered Design (HCD) and Agile experience would be an advantage
  • Bancassurance industry experience is preferred but not required
  • Data driven in making decisions and crafting strategies to rollout digital initiatives
  • Must have very strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills

  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to improving the customer and user experience.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics and the ability to drive revenue growth.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
