Job Summary
Conduct reliable, independent, and objective audits of the Bank’s fund management operations to enhance internal controls, strengthen risk management, and support sound governance practices.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in developing audit strategies, engagement plans, and required documentation.
Conduct pre‑audit briefings and participate in kick‑off meetings with Business Unit (BU) Management.
Perform audit fieldwork in accordance with approved methodologies and program guides.
Review operational processes for compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Investigate loss incidents and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and controls.
Assess internal control adequacy, risk exposures, and governance processes.
Monitor and validate the status of previous audit findings and recommendations.
Communicate audit progress and significant issues to the Section or Unit Head.
Document observations, prepare and review working papers, and maintain audit records securely.
Validate BU Management responses and assist in preparing audit reports within prescribed timelines.
Ensure compliance with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
Track resolution of outstanding audit issues and update findings monitoring.
Assist in training new audit staff and contribute to the team’s professional development.
Safeguard confidential bank and client information and ensure proper use of bank resources.
Perform other audit-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA, CIA, or relevant certifications preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in financial auditing or operations review, ideally in banking or auditing firms
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer literate.
Knowledge of internal auditing professional standards.
High integrity, organized, able to work under pressure, and capable of working independently or in teams.
Willing to travel for field and out‑of‑town assignments.
Willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas/Makati.
