Job Summary

Conduct reliable, independent, and objective audits of the Bank’s fund management operations to enhance internal controls, strengthen risk management, and support sound governance practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing audit strategies, engagement plans, and required documentation.
  • Conduct pre‑audit briefings and participate in kick‑off meetings with Business Unit (BU) Management.
  • Perform audit fieldwork in accordance with approved methodologies and program guides.
  • Review operational processes for compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Investigate loss incidents and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and controls.
  • Assess internal control adequacy, risk exposures, and governance processes.
  • Monitor and validate the status of previous audit findings and recommendations.
  • Communicate audit progress and significant issues to the Section or Unit Head.
  • Document observations, prepare and review working papers, and maintain audit records securely.
  • Validate BU Management responses and assist in preparing audit reports within prescribed timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
  • Track resolution of outstanding audit issues and update findings monitoring.
  • Assist in training new audit staff and contribute to the team’s professional development.
  • Safeguard confidential bank and client information and ensure proper use of bank resources.
  • Perform other audit-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA, CIA, or relevant certifications preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial auditing or operations review, ideally in banking or auditing firms
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer literate.
  • Knowledge of internal auditing professional standards.
  • High integrity, organized, able to work under pressure, and capable of working independently or in teams.
  • Willing to travel for field and out‑of‑town assignments.
  • Willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas/Makati.
