Associate Technical Services

Job Summary:

The EBOP Specialist will work closely with the Technical Team, focusing on TL/SS design and siting works and other technical workstreams. Frequent interfacing with the Land Acquisition Team and external stakeholders such as consultants and contractors is expected. Candidate will focus on TL routing, SS siting, and MV/HV design preparation. It is expected that multiple projects will be handled simultaneously, with eventual site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare preliminary and detailed analysis and design documents for electrical systems associated with utility-scale wind and solar projects, including but not limited to AC and DC schematic diagrams, single line diagrams, control logic diagrams, PV and WTG layout, substation, grid interconnection control, protection and telecommunication system, among others;
• Prepare and identify TL/SS location including preliminary design preparation;
• Support technical, land acquisition and permitting teams and workstreams by providing analyses and producing detailed reports which review the feasibility of sites for development, including feasibility studies, layout optimization.
• Support EBOP (TL/SS/HV) construction supervision for wind and solar projects;
• Manage construction power application including preparation of the necessary technical documents;
• Coordinate with utility, regulatory offices, LGUs, and other concerned agencies for project permitting and technical compliances;
• Assist with the coordination of technical activities and designs with personnel in other business units and departments within the local offices;
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants and contractors to coordinate and supervise various project development related activities;
• Assist with other duties that may be assigned

Pre-requisites:

• More than 5 years in substation and transmission line design and construction
• Licensed EE
• Substation and transmission line design and construction,
• Knowledgeable on NGCP and Meralco standards
• Experience on grid integration and substation test and commissioning
• EPC or OE experience on solar project is a plus.
