Job Description

The Assistant Director of Events Management supports the Director of Events Management in driving departmental strategies, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring the successful planning and execution of all events. This role oversees the Events Management team, including Events Managers, Events Executives, and Events Assistants, while managing key client relationships and complex event requirements. The position is responsible for supervising the end-to-end event lifecycle, from initial inquiry and proposal development through execution and post-event follow-up. The Assistant Director of Events Management ensures operational excellence, revenue maximization, client satisfaction, and adherence to hotel standards while fostering a high-performing and customer-focused team environment.


The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-driven hospitality professional with strong leadership, organizational, and relationship management skills. They possess the ability to lead and develop a team while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and delivering outstanding client experiences. Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Business Administration, or a related field and have extensive experience in event sales, planning, and management, preferably within a luxury hotel environment. A minimum of 10 years of experience handling Social Events, Weddings, MICE, and Corporate Events is preferred. The successful candidate demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong negotiation and presentation abilities, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, event management systems, and customer relationship management practices is essential. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and according to event requirements is also necessary.
