Qualifications

Education:

  • Masters degree OR Certificate in Leadership and Management from the CSC OR CES/CSE Eligibility

Experience

  • Five (5) years of supervisory/management experience

Training

  • 120 hours of supervisory/managerial training/learning and development intervention

OR

  • Minimum of 60 hours of supervisory/management training/learning and development intervention AND maximum of 60 hours of technical training programs related to:

Job Summary

The Assistant Department Manager II provides management/supervisory support to the Department Head; reviews outputs of staff before endorsement to the Department Head; drafts complex memos, reports, presentation and meeting materials; drafts and/or reviews planning related Standard Operating Guidelines and Instructions (SOGI); attends meetings and/or workshops; records or documents proceedings, agreements, comments, and directives for reference and easy recall; provides technical assistance and support during planning workshops and consultation meetings; reviews Office Performance Commitments and Accomplishment reports of Group/s; and coordinates with ITG on the review/updating of MIS and posting of reports. Acts as Officer-in-Charge of the Department in the absence of the Department Manager.
