Airport Development Project Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in airport facility design and construction supervision. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality engineering designs, ensuring compliance with international aviation standards, and providing expert oversight during project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of airport facilities, including HVAC systems, fire protection systems, plumbing, fuel systems, and other critical building services.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
• Conduct site inspections and provide construction supervision to ensure work aligns with approved designs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, electrical engineers, civil engineers, and airport planners.
• Evaluate contractor submissions, including material approvals, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Participate in value engineering, feasibility studies, and project planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO, NFPA, ASHRAE, and other relevant international codes and standards relevant to airport facilities.
• Support project managers in monitoring project progress, quality, and cost control.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, project documentation, and engineering assessments.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

✅ Holder of a post‑graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

✅ 5 to 12 years of combined experience in the design and construction supervision of airport facilities, terminals, hangars, and/or airside support buildings.

✅ Strong background in specification writing, cost estimate preparation, and tender evaluation.

✅ Proven experience in large‑scale infrastructure or aviation-related projects.

✅ Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, HVAC load calculation tools).
