Responsibilities

As an Accounting Officer (Bank), you will be a key member of our finance team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Your role will involve preparing daily reports, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with various departments to maintain financial integrity. Key duties and responsibilities include:

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial statements within stipulated deadlines, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information for reporting purposes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
• Reconcile and maintain accurate subsidiary ledgers and schedules
• Participate in on-going system implementations and ensures financial data are captured accurately. May perform user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.
• Support external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting procedures.
  
  

• Must have a degree in Accounting, CPA required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a reputable bank, or from a Big 4 audit firm with banking/financing industry audit specialization
• Team player and excited to learn new things.
• Good attention to details and able to perform self-checks.
• Good critical-thinking and problem-solving ability
• Advanced MS Excel user and working competence in using accounting systems
• Willing to embrace and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
