Our Global Operating Center located in Manila is pivotal to enhancing the Firm’s operational efficiency and streamlining legal and business services support across our global network. Our center provides comprehensive administrative, financial and operational services across office operations, compliance and new business, finance, technology, human resources, innovation and marketing. By centralizing these critical functions, the center ensures consistency and quality in service delivery while reducing operational costs. Through its integrated approach, our Global Operating Center enables the Firm to focus on its core legal services, drive global growth and maintain high standards of client service across all offices.
The Accountant is primarily responsible for specified accounting tasks relating to reviewing, resolving escalating, and transitioning of Local Office account reconciliations and reporting. This function performs maintaining the general ledger, reviewing financial statements, assisting with local and statutory reporting, supporting audits (internal and external), and reconciling accounts across our global network.
The Roles And Responsibilities Of This Job Include
- Prepare/review simple and complex Balance Sheet and P&L account analyses
- Process monthly statutory invoicing for local offices.
- Post necessary general journals on adjustments derived from analyses, reconciliations, or audit
- Prepare and review various reconciliation schedules: Bank, VAT, Payroll and Fixed Assets
- Maintain and improve the analysis and reconciliation for these accounts, ensuring continued accuracy and reliability
- Assist with the audit requirements
- Conduct training for refresher, new hire, and cross trainings
- Create and update process documentations
- Initiate and spearhead process improvement initiatives through automation, leveraging her proactive approach and technical skills
- Other adhoc tasks required by Manager and Stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy
- At least 5 years experience in general accounting tasks
- Must have work experience in a BPO, shared service, multinational or audit firm
- Experienced working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experienced working knowledge in any financial software such as Elite 3E
- Required knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Preferred knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
