Position Accountability Statement

The Product Officer provides the needed support to the different gates of Product Development from product conceptualization and implementation.

Specific Areas Of Accountability

  • Assist the Product Leads in the development to implementation of new products and product redesign in accordance with MaxiGroups strategic plan.
  • Engage in the development of deployment process of new and existing products
  • Gather inputs and collaborate with the Customer Experience Team on the customer journey and user experience.
  • Comply with the quality assurance process for deployment and ultimately meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with various teams across the organization including Actuarial, Operations, Transformation and Technology, Risk Management and other committees to ensure seamless execution of product strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and program execution by periodic monitoring of profitability and viability of insurance plans and riders and adjusts as necessary.
  • Comply with the process alignment and compliance with company and regulator’s rules on product development and management.
  • Consolidate feedback to be reported to the Product Strategy Team on product designs as a result of challenges encountered during deployment stage.
  • Responsible for initial product setup in the system, if applicable.
  • Draft and prepare product manuals, policies, memo and other documentary requirements upon launching of new products.
  • Assist the Head of Product Deployment during cascade to internal stakeholders from product design, pricing, implementation process and overall user experience of the new or revised product, upon approval from Insurance Commission.
  • Track key metrics and KPIs to assess the product’s impact and value post-implementation.
  • Compile and safe-keep all product-related documentation and approvals.
  • Maintain the tools for product development and project management.
  • Conduct special projects and performs studies requested by management
  • Perform any other tasks that may be directed to do.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and with basic decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Can collaborate with the business stakeholders & tech team in various tasks assigned

Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in BS Statistics, Economics, Business Management and other relevant courses
  • At least 3 years’ experience in insurance, healthcare or similar experience with key focus on Project Management or Product Development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Data analytics skills are welcome
