We are seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead and execute merchandising strategies that drive sales, profitability, and brand growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in merchandising, product planning, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires a strategic leader who can analyze market trends, optimize product assortments, and ensure the successful execution of merchandising initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement merchandising strategies aligned with business objectives and sales targets.
Manage product assortment planning, pricing, inventory allocation, and lifecycle management.
Analyze sales performance, customer demand, and market trends to identify business opportunities and optimize product offerings.
Collaborate closely with Buying, Planning, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely product launches and inventory availability.
Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment or markdown strategies to maximize sell-through and minimize stock aging.
Prepare sales forecasts and merchandising reports to support business decisions.
Ensure product presentation, category performance, and merchandising standards are consistently maintained.
Evaluate competitor activities and emerging market trends to strengthen the company's merchandising strategy.
Lead, coach, and develop the merchandising team to achieve departmental goals and improve overall performance.
Drive continuous improvements in merchandising processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
Must have solid years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the retail, fashion, apparel, footwear, or consumer goods industry.
Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience leading merchandising teams.
Strong understanding of merchandise planning, inventory management, assortment planning, and retail operations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and merchandising or ERP systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Results-oriented with a strong commercial mindset and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing multiple product categories or brands.
Exposure to forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization.
Background in fashion, lifestyle, sporting goods, or consumer retail is an advantage.
