Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or any related course; Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.

Qualifications

  • At least 12–15 years in corporate communications, brand, or public relations, with 5+ years leading enterprise or group-level communications.
  • Prior experience advising C-suite or principal-level executives strongly preferred.
  • Experience in tech, telco, ICT, or a large enterprise/conglomerate environment preferred.

Duties And Responsibilities

FUNCTIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owns the PLDT group corporate brand narrative and messaging architecture across all business lines and group companies (PLDT, Smart, ePLDT, VITRO, Multisys, PLDT Global), ensuring one coherent story to market, media, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Serves as principal communications lead to the Office of the Chairman — develops and stewards the Chairman's and senior leadership's executive messaging, speeches, thought-leadership platforms, and public positioning.
  • Directs group-wide integrated communications across PR, digital, corporate advertising, events, and owned channels so that programs reinforce group reputation and the enterprise's strategic and TechCo transformation priorities
  • Sets and enforces group brand governance — brand architecture, verbal and visual identity, and usage standards — across the portfolio; adjudicates brand exceptions and protects brand equity.
  • Owns corporate reputation and issues/crisis communications at group level; runs message management and rapid response to safeguard brand safety and stakeholder confidence.
  • Aligns external voice across Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, Regulatory and Government Affairs, and business-unit marketing so messaging is consistent across every audience and touchpoint.
  • Leads and develops the communications team and agency roster — writers, editors, designers, and external partners — holding output to executive-grade quality, accuracy, and turnaround.
  • Stewards the corporate communications budget and measures communications effectiveness (reach, share of voice, sentiment, reputation indices), reporting impact and risk to the Office of the Chairman.

Administrative Duties & Responsibilities

  • Completes timekeeping and leave filings on or before system cut-off.
  • Submits periodic communications and reputation reports to the Office of the Chairman within agreed reporting cadence.
  • Completes mandatory compliance trainings annually (Code of Conduct, Data Privacy Act, Information Security).
  • Participates in quarterly performance reviews with the Immediate Head and People Partner.
  • Maintains currency of 201 file and required professional certifications.
