Test Manager - Life Insurance Domain

As a Test Manager, you will lead end-to-end testing activities for a large-scale Life Insurance programme, ensuring quality across functional, integration, regression, UAT, and automation testing. You will define and drive testing strategy, guide QA teams, and collaborate with stakeholders across complex enterprise environments to support successful delivery outcomes.

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed

• Design and implement the overall test strategy, test plans, QA frameworks, and risk-based testing approach to support programme objectives.
• Lead the complete testing lifecycle across functional, integration, regression, UAT, and automation testing, ensuring quality standards are met throughout delivery.
• Drive effective test planning, execution, reporting, defect management, and test closure activities.
• Manage the defect lifecycle and ensure critical issues are prioritised and resolved in a timely manner.
• Establish and monitor QA metrics, KPIs, test coverage, and quality reporting to provide clear visibility into testing performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Test Leads, QA Engineers, and Automation Engineers to build high-performing teams.
• Manage testing teams of approximately 10 to 30 resources while ensuring efficient delivery and resource utilisation.
• Partner closely with business stakeholders, development teams, vendors, and project teams to align testing activities with delivery goals.
• Drive testing initiatives across distributed and global delivery teams to ensure consistency and quality.
• Ensure testing standards, processes, and documentation are consistently applied across all testing streams.
• Support release readiness and production validation activities to facilitate successful deployments.

We’d Love to Hear From You If...

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in software QA and testing.
• At least 4 years of experience in a Test Lead, Test Manager, QA Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience managing the complete testing lifecycle for large-scale enterprise projects.
• Strong experience within the Life Insurance domain.
• Experience managing QA, testing, and automation teams while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working with global or distributed project teams.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of both manual and automation testing.
• Experience with Jira or similar test and defect management tools.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright; experience with Cypress is an advantage.
• Knowledge of TestNG, JUnit, and REST Assured frameworks.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, and Confluence.
• Expertise in Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, API, and Backend Testing.
• Proficiency in SQL and data validation.
• Exposure to AS400/Mainframe application testing.
• Performance testing exposure is an advantage.
