Space Planning Specialist

The Space Planning Specialist is responsible for optimizing product placement and shelf allocation across retail channels to improve visibility, shopper experience, and sales performance. The role combines space planning, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective execution of category and merchandising strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Planogram Development: Develop, update, and maintain planograms for key retail accounts based on category strategies, shopper insights, and merchandising standards.

• Space & Performance Analysis: Analyze sales, assortment, and space productivity data to identify opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Channel Development, Category, and Marketing teams to align space planning initiatives with commercial and promotional strategies.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve and automate space planning, reporting, and planogram processes.

• Execution & Compliance: Ensure planograms and merchandising recommendations are aligned with internal standards and retailer requirements.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.

• At least 3–5 years of experience in space planning, category management, merchandising, or a related commercial role, preferably within FMCG or retail.

• Experience using planogram or space planning software such as JDA/Blue Yonder, Apollo, or similar tools.

• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, particularly Power BI or similar platforms.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with different stakeholders.
